Policy & Procedures

It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian/student to check AND read e-mails, check our website, read our policies, and correspond with us to stay updated on important information.  Click on any section below to reveal its content.

Private Lessons / Academy

  • Private lessons are 30 minutes weekly with one-on-one teaching.  Parents/Guardians/Students may opt to purchase additional time.
  • Automatic Debits are debited monthly.
  • Should you decide to pay quarterly, your account will be debited 4 (four) payments per year.

‘Live’ Virtual Private Lessons

  • Web-based Private lessons through Zoom are 30 minutes weekly with one-on-one
    teaching. Parents/Guardians/Students may opt to purchase additional time.
  • Monthly and Quarterly Tuition is debited Automatically.
  • Automatic Debits are debited monthly.
  • Should you decide to pay quarterly, your account will be debited 4 (four) payments per

Classroom Based’ Piano Class

  • Students learn and move at their own pace.
  • Fifteen students maximum per class for classroom-based classes.
  • Piano classes are 1 hour.
  • Tuition is based on 24 weeks of classroom-based classes. This takes into account all
    school closings and emergency closings.
  • Monthly and Quarterly tuition payments are debited automatically.
  • Automatic Debits are debited September through May for public schools, with May
    being the last month for debits. NOTE: Private and class lessons at our academy or
    through ZOOM will debit each month until canceled.
  • Should you decide to pay quarterly, your account will be debited 2 (two) payments per

‘Live’ Virtual Piano Class (ZOOM)

  • tudents learn and move at their own pace.
  • Virtual Piano Classes are held through Zoom.
  • Seven students maximum per class for virtual classes.
  • Piano classes are 1 hour.
  • Virtual Piano classes are year-round.
  • Monthly and Quarterly tuition payments are debited automatically.
  • Automatic Debits are debited monthly.
  • Should you decide to pay quarterly, your account will be debited 4 (four) payments per
    year.

In-Home Lessons

In-Home lessons are available for your convenience. Music on Wheels, LLC offers in-home lessons to students within the Metro Atlanta region within 30 miles of our academy. These lessons are at the travel discretion of the teacher. Please be aware that sometimes, due to traffic, a music teacher may sometimes run behind. Therefore, please give the music teacher a 15 – 20-minute grace period to arrive at your home (unless the music teacher calls with a different time, in which you may choose to reschedule the lesson if necessary). All in-home lessons are scheduled 15 – 30 apart. Therefore, any in-depth questions concerning a student’s lesson are best done by a phone call so that the music teacher does not run late to the next student’s lesson.

Groupon Lesson

  • Discounted coupon for four (4) 30-minute private lessons with one on one teaching by a student music teacher.
  • Parents/Guardians/Students are required to complete an application and attach the Groupon information.
  • Groupon students MUST complete lessons consecutively within one month.
  • NO make-up lesson for same-day cancellation.
  • Parents/Guardians/Students may choose to continue with private lessons after completion of Groupon lessons. Rates apply

Registration

Enrollment into our program begins when a completed application AND payment has been received.

Piano/Strings/Drums/Vocal:

Registration fees (per student) are non-refundable, mandatory, and are required every year. Yearly non-refundable registration fees cover the cost of application and supplies, etc. A yearly NONREFUNDABLE registration fee of $100.00 is due at the time of the application for ALL students participating in piano class. $80 registration is required for all private lessons and ZOOM classes.

Dance Students:

Registration fees (per student) are non-refundable, mandatory, and are required every year. Yearly non-refundable registration fees cover the cost of registration and costume rental fee (for dance students).

A yearly non-refundable registration fee of $80.00 is due: at the time of application for ALL new students; plus, a costume rental fee for dance students which is also required yearly for ALL new and returning students. August of each year from ALL returning private students; plus costume rental fee for dance students, which is also required yearly for ALL new and returning students.

Students who are not enrolled during the summer (June/July) MUST complete a new application (registration fee is required at the time of registration) for each new school year. Registration is NOT complete until receipt of completed application AND payment has been received.

Tuition

Tuition payment is due BEFORE the start of lessons per month. Tuition payment is expected on the 1st of each month following the month after the initial payment has been received. Tuition is late after the 7th (seventh) of each month.  Tuition paid for enrollment; monthly (automatic debit) and quarterly; is non-refundable. A portion of tuition payments is given to schools to help support our communities.

Book Fees

Book fees are NOT included in registration for students taking private lessons. Private students are REQUIRED to purchase their music books online at our store at www.musiconwheelsga.com/store.

Discount

  • 3% Discount off tuition if the full year is paid by August 15th(discount does not include book fee nor any other fees). (September – May for Beginner Piano Class) (August – June for Private Lessons).
  • Save $25.00 off the PIANO CLASS registration fee if registration online is completed and submitted by August 15th.

Late Fee

  • If tuition payment is received after the 7th of the month, there will be a $35 late fee (per student) assessed to the student’s account.

NSF/Declined

  • A $35 NSF fee will be charged for all returned checks. For automatic debits, if the card on file is declined, there will be an attempt to debit a second time. If funds are still not available, you will be contacted. If payment is not received 3 (three) days after the due date, an additional $35.00 late fee will be assessed (per student) (in addition to returned check fee if applicable totaling $70) and lessons will be canceled until the account is paid and current.

Tardiness

  • If a student is late, for the sake of keeping the next student’s scheduled lesson, lessons will end at the designated time so that the next student can start on time. Tuition will not be prorated and lessons will not be made up.

Cancellation/Withdrawal

  • Same-day cancellations for private students will not have the chance to make up lessons. Tuition will not be refunded nor prorated.
  • ALL fees paid for Recital tickets, Costume Rental fee, Registration (monthly and quarterly), etc. are NON-REFUNDABLE. In the event of an emergency (death or contagious illness), it will be at the discretion of the music teacher to decide to do make-up lessons for private students only.
  • For Automatic Debits ONLY – Should you decide to withdraw your child from the Music On Wheels Academy of Performing Arts program, a written notice must be given 30 (thirty) days in advance. Otherwise, lessons will continue and the monthly payer’s tuition payment will be deducted the following month.
  • For Automatic Debits ONLY – If a written 30(thirty) day notice is not given, you will be charged a cancellation fee of $35.00.
  • For Quarterly Debits ONLY – Tuition paid for the quarter is NON_REFUNDABLE.
  • Students will be withdrawn from class/lesson for non-payment of tuition and a $35.00 late fee will be assessed and must be paid before students can start class/lesson.

Make-Up Session/Rescheduling

  • During the year, there may be several five-week months ALL students receive for free. These fifth weeks are considered make-up days for classes or lessons that are missed.
  • Lessons will not be rescheduled for an individual student who is in a beginner piano class or if parents/students call to cancel on the same day of class or if students do not show up for class.
  • Dance, Theater, and piano classes cannot be re-scheduled for missed lessons. Additional/Extended class time may be provided.
  • 24-hour notice is REQUIRED for missed/canceled lessons.
  • No call, no show private students, will not have the chance to make-up lessons. Tuition will not be refunded nor prorated.
  • Private/In-Home students who cancel on the same day WILL NOT have the chance to make-up lessons. Tuition will not be refunded nor prorated.
  • Private lessons may be re-scheduled as long as Music On Wheels, LLC receives a 24-hour advance notice. If “24-hour” advance notice is not received, lessons will not be rescheduled.  Tuition will not be refunded nor prorated.
  • Private/In-Home lessons if approved (24-hour notice was received) for make-up lessons will be re-scheduled/made up at our Music On Wheels Academy in Marietta.
  • Private students will have 1 (one) month to make up any approved make-up / rescheduled lessons at the discretion and availability of the music teacher. Any lesson not made up within the month will be forfeited. Tuition will not be refunded nor prorated.
  • In-Home students may be rescheduled only at our Music On Wheels Academy on a day and time that has been designated for make-up lessons.
  • In the event schools close due to inclement weather, class lessons may be rescheduled only at our Music On Wheels Academy at a day and time that has been designated for make-up lessons.
  • If an emergency situation occurs, or if lessons are canceled for any reason by Music on Wheels’ music teacher, Music on Wheels, LLC will make up the lesson at our academy or credit your tuition for the following month.

Behavior

  • For the benefit of the session, certain behavior is expected of all students. If all efforts to resolve a student’s behavior fail, Music on Wheels, LLC reserves the right to withdraw a student from the class.

Refunds

  • There are NO refunds.
  • Refunds WILL NOT be issued AFTER enrollment into our program.
  • ALL fees/tuition paid to Music On Wheels, LLC; monthly and quarterly are NONREFUNDABLE.
  • Music on Wheels, LLC does not pro-rate classes due to absences or holidays because it has already been considered in the cost.
  • Quarterly payers cannot receive refunds. Therefore, if a student decides to withdraw during the semester, tuition paid cannot be returned nor credited.

Recital

  • Participation in Recital is optional.
  • Recital WILL count as a Lesson Day.
  • The recital is in May of every year, in which students will be awarded a trophy at the end of the
    recital.
  • Due to the number of students participating, there may be two recitals held yearly.
  • Students may perform in the Music On Wheels’ Spring Recital. A Recital Participation form is REQUIRED to be completed yearly. Upon confirmation of student’s participation, parents will receive 2 complimentary tickets and students will be awarded a trophy at the end of the recital. Please be advised that Recital will count as a lesson day and students will not have lessons the following week after the recital. Additional tickets are available for purchase.
  • Dance students are expected to participate in all recitals.
  • Costume Rental fees (Dance/Theatre students) are paid yearly(August). These fees are NON-REFUNDABLE.
  • Please be advised that students with behavior problems may be withdrawn.
    Please be advised that prayer may be conducted during Performances, Events, and/or Recitals.

Late Pick-Up

  • Due to teacher schedules, we cannot wait with students after piano class/lessons or for safety reasons, leave a child waiting in the parking lot. If students are not picked up after class, there will be a $15.00 fee per incident, per student, assessed to your account. The late fee will be debited or invoiced, along with the next month’s tuition. If the late fee is not paid, students will not be able to attend piano class/lessons until the account is current.

Student Pick Up/After-School Program

  • Students will only be released to the person(s) authorized for student pick up.
  • Due to teacher schedules, we cannot wait with students after school or, for safety reasons, leave a child waiting in the parking lot. Children must be picked up immediately after class if he/she is not in after-school.
  • If children cannot be picked up at the end of class, they must be signed up for after school where there may be an after-school charge (please see your child’s ASP Director for more information, as Music on Wheels, LLC does not have any affiliation with after school).
  • Please note: There may be schools that will not allow your child(ren) to participate in any after-school programs unless he or she is signed up for ASP (please see your child’s ASP Director for more information, as Music on Wheels, LLC does not have any affiliation with after school).

Class/Student Observation

  •  Depending on your child(ren)’s school policy and at the discretion of the music teacher, Music On Wheels Academy welcomes parents to observe their child(ren) during class.

Tuition is not refunded nor prorated based on these holidays due to the fact that there are several months within the year where there are five lessons instead of four (the fifth lesson is free and is used as a make-up day.) For Piano Class, tuition is based on 26 weeks of classes. This takes into account all school closings and emergency closings.

Performing Arts Camp
