These lessons are for students 3 years & above. Students will be introduced to music theory and explore application of music principles on the piano. All lessons are taught with piano books which are required for class. Keyboard/Piano at home is recommended for students to practice. Casio keyboards are affordable and are good for beginner students who are just starting lessons. However, Yamaha and KORG keyboards are better quality keyboards, especially for intermediate and advanced students. All keyboards are required to have a minimum of 61 full-sized keys. (Creative Movement, Contemporary Lyrical, Urban Rhythm)
Creative Movement: These classes are for students 5 – 9 years. Students will learn the art of expression through creative movement. Students will also be trained for individual performance in preparation for our Winter Production and Spring Recital. Awards will be given during Spring Recital.
Attire Required for Creative Movement class is:
Contemporary & Lyrical: These classes are for students 8 years & above. Students will learn the art of expression through contemporary & lyrical dance, which involves movement from a foundational style such as ballet, Jazz, Tap, and more. The combinations of all styles help to make a dance phrase that flows together. Students will also be trained for individual performance in preparation for our Winter Production and Spring Recital. Awards will be given during Spring Recital.

Urban Rhythm: These classes are for students 5 years & above. Students will be taught the Fundamental Techniques of dancing using all forms of dance from Street dance (Hip Hop) to Jazz with an urban feel. Students will also learn stage presence and how to connect with music in order to minister messages through dance, with power. Students will also be trained for individual performance in preparation for our Winter production and Spring Recital. Awards will be given during Spring Recital.

Vocal study is vital for the success of those seeking to sing professionally. Students will gain confidence in their ability to sing through learning theory and techniques to expand range, learn expression, and increase power in voice. Students will also experience vocal performance through skits, plays, and recitals that will enhance their growth as a professional singer. Students will be trained for individual performance in preparation for our Winter Production and Spring Recital. Awards will be given during Spring Recital.
Students will learn the art of drumming through application of musical techniques that involve body posture, how to read sheet music, rhythm, use of sticks, and theory in understanding the performance of the “Drum Set”. All lessons are taught with worksheets and a book that is required for class. See teacher concerning required materials. Students will also be trained for preparation of the Winter Production and Spring Recital. Awards will be given during the Spring Recital.
Yearly Theatre productions are held each year during summer camp and Theatre skits periodically during our annual recital. Our classes and productions involve skits, plays, and musicals relevant to building self-esteem, discipline, and critical thinking skills for everyday conflicts in life that children may experience.
Private String Lesson: This is offered at our Music On Wheels Academy. These individualized lessons are offered for beginners to advanced students. Beginner lesson is half an hour long. Intermediate and advanced level student’s lessons are 45 minutes or an hour in length. Private lesson consist of:

Audition Preparation is offered to intermediate and advanced students for festival, Allstate Orchestra, Georgia Youth Orchestra, Atlanta Youth Orchestra, Music Summer Intensives, and many more.
Student Performance Workshop
This class is held exclusively at the Music On Wheels Academy. This class is offered once per month(4th Sunday of each month) in addition to weekly class lessons as a workshop where students learn further theory, instrument performance, and prepare for the Winter Production. This workshop includes the entire Music On Wheels Academy student body throughout Metro Atlanta. Industry professionals will be conducting this workshop.

Parent Meeting
Music On Wheels Academy will have parent meetings twice per year to answer any questions and concerns parents may have, as well as to discuss the progress of the children. Meetings will be scheduled the second week in November and March of each year at the Music On Wheels Academy. Please see separate calendar for date and time.
