These lessons are for students 3 years and above. Students will be introduced to music theory and explore its application on the piano. All lessons are taught with piano books required for class. Practicing piano/keyboard at home is recommended for students. Casio keyboards are affordable and are appropriate for beginners who are just starting lessons. However, Yamaha and KORG keyboards are better quality keyboards, especially for intermediate and advanced students. All keyboards must have a minimum of 61 full-sized keys. These lessons are for students 3 years and above. Students will be introduced to music theory and explore its application on the piano. All lessons are taught with piano books required for class. This class is conducted just like a band class and children will get first-hand experience playing together as an orchestra. Students will also be trained for individual performances to participate in our Spring Recital. Classes are taught weekly and conducted during the school year from September through May at designated locations. In recognition of their accomplishments, awards will be presented at the end of the year at the recital.

To attain success as a professional singer, it is essential for students to receive vocal training. Through this training, they will learn various techniques and theories that can help them expand their vocal range, express themselves better, and increase their vocal power. In addition to this, vocal training can boost the confidence of the students in their singing ability. Students can also improve their professional growth as singers by participating in vocal performances like skits, plays, and recitals. Advanced students can continue to enhance their vocal abilities by attending advanced workshops, and taking part in masterclasses,

Students will learn the art of drumming through the application of musical techniques that involve body posture, how to read sheet music, rhythm, use of sticks, and theory in understanding the performance of the “Drum Set”. All lessons are taught with worksheets and a book that is required for class. See the teacher concerning the required materials. Students will also be trained for preparation for the Winter Production and Spring Recital. Awards will be given during the Spring Recital.

Private String Lesson:  This is offered at our Music On Wheels Academy.  These individualized lessons are offered for beginners to advanced students.  The beginner lesson is half an hour long. Intermediate and advanced-level students’ lessons are 45 minutes or an hour in length.  Private lessons consist of:

1. Warm-up/Scales
2. String Technique and bowing
3. Note Reading/Theory
4. Listening Skills
5. Performance Piece

(Bass Guitar, Guitar, Ukulele)

Private Lesson:  This is offered at our Music On Wheels Academy.  These individualized lessons are offered for beginners to advanced students.  Beginner lesson is half an hour long.  Intermediate and advanced level student’s lessons are 45 minutes or an hour in length.  Private lesson consist of:

Yearly Theatre productions are held each year during summer camp and Theatre skits periodically during our annual recital. Our classes and productions involve skits, plays, and musicals relevant to building self-esteem, discipline, and critical thinking skills for everyday conflicts in life that children may experience.

Creative Movement:  These classes are for students 5 – 9 years.  Students will learn the art of expression through creative movement.  Students will also be trained for individual performance in preparation for our Winter Production and Spring Recital.  Awards will be given during Spring Recital.

Attire Required for Creative Movement is:  

• Comfortable leggings and a T-shirt
• Dance Shoes
• Required costume rental fee for performances.

Contemporary & Lyrical:  These classes are for students 8 years & above.  Students will learn the art of expression through contemporary & lyrical dance, which involves movement from a foundational style such as ballet, Jazz, Tap, and more.  The combinations of all styles help to make a dance phrase that flows together.

Attire Required for Contemporary & Lyrical class is:  

• Comfortable leggings and a T-shirt
• Dance Shoes
• Required costume rental fee for performances

Urban Rhythm:  These classes are for students 5 years & above.  Students will be taught the Fundamental Techniques of dancing using all forms of dance, from Street dance (Hip Hop) to Jazz with an urban feel.  Students will also learn stage presence and how to connect with music in order to minister messages through dance, with power.

Attire Required for Urban Rhythm is:
